The following driver will start the seventeenth Competition of the 2026 Formula One World Championship with a new turbocharger (TC): Number Car Driver Previously used TC 63 Mercedes George Russell 4 The turbocharger used by George Russell is the fifth (5 th ) of the four (4) new turbochargers allowed for the 2026 Championship season and this is not in compliance with B8.2.2 b) of the 2026 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
