2026 DUTCH GRAND PRIX 21 - 23 August 2026 The Stewards From The Stewards To The Team Manager, Atlassian Williams F1 Team Document 33 Date 22 August 2026 Time 12:36 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following: No / Driver 55 - Carlos Sainz Competitor Atlassian Williams F1 Team Time 12:02 Session Sprint Fact Car 55 overtook Car 77 during the formation lap. Infringement Breach of Article B5.6.4 of the FIA F1 Regulations Decision Driver: Warning. Reason The Stewards reviewed video evidence. Car 55 was mandated to start the Sprint from the pit lane because of another breach and therefore the driver entered the pit lane at the end of the formation lap. By doing so, he overtook Car 77 shortly before reaching Safety Car Line 1 and this is considered a breach of Article B5.6.4 of the FIA F1 Regulations. As the mandated consequence for such an infringement (pit lane start) is redundant in this case, the Stewards issue a Warning to the driver in line with previous decisions. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
