2026 HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX 23 - 25 July 2026 From The Stewards To The Team Manager, Oracle Red Bull Racing Document 20 Date 24 July 2026 Time 16:05 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following: No / Driver 3 - Max Verstappen Competitor Oracle Red Bull Racing Time 13:35 Session Free Practice 1 Fact The driver of Car 3 slowed significantly in turn 12 Infringement Alleged Breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2 e) of the International Sporting Code. Decision No further action. Reason The Stewards heard from the drivers of Car 3 (Max Verstappen) and Car 55 (Carlos Sainz) and the team representatives and reviewed video, telemetry, team radio and in-car video evidence. On the approach to turn 12, Car 3 had to move off the racing line to avoid Car 55 which had slowed unexpectedly on the racing line. The Driver of Car 3 then slowed significantly at turn 12 and gesticulated to the driver of Car 55 to mark his frustration that he had been impeded by Car 55. The driver of Car 55 then overtook Car 3. The driver of Car 55 said that he was not in any way affected by Car 3 slowing at turn 12. No other car was affected. The Stewards therefore determined to take no further action. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
