2026 BARCELONA-CATALUNYA GRAND PRIX 12 - 14 June 2026 The Stewards From The Stewards To The Team Manager, Atlassian Williams F1 Team Document 63 Date 14 June 2026 Time 19:04 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, summoned (document 55) and heard from the driver and team representative, have considered the following matter and determine the following: No / Driver 23 - Alexander Albon Competitor Atlassian Williams F1 Team Time 14:59 Session Race Fact Car 23 started the formation lap with parts of a tyre blanket still on the car. Infringement Breach of Article B5.5.5.a of the FIA F1 Regulations. Decision The competitor (Atlassian Williams F1 Team) is fined €5,000 Reason The Stewards heard from the team representative and reviewed video evidence. When Car 23 was released from its jacks before the start of the formation lap parts of the right front tyre blanket got caught under the car. Although the team tried to remove the parts before the start of the formation lap, these attempts were unsuccessful and car left with a cable still hanging off the car and the team thereby did not take all of their equipment with them after the 15 second signal. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits. Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
