2026 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 22 - 24 May 2026 The Stewards From The Stewards To The Team Manager, McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Document 100 Date 24 May 2026 Time 20:07 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following: No / Driver 81 - Oscar Piastri Competitor McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Time 16:25 Session Race Fact Car 81 collided with Car 23 in Turn 10 Infringement Breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2 d) of the FIA International Sporting Code. Decision 10 second time penalty. Reason The Stewards reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video, and in-car video evidence. Car 81 attempted to overtake Car 23 and did not, according to the Driving Standards Guidelines, have the right to the corner. Car 81 collided with Car 23 and hence was determined to be wholly to blame for the incident. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits. Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
