Liam Lawson fik en reprimand for en fejl i startproceduren under det canadiske Grand Prix 2026, da han kørte fra gitteret før Nico Hulkenberg under formationen. 2026 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 22 - 24 May 2026 From The Stewards To The Team Manager, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team Document 103 Date 24 May 2026 Time 20:07 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following: No / Driver 30 - Liam Lawson Competitor Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team Time 16:08 Session Race Fact Cars 27 and 30 were out of position at Safety Car Line 1 during the formation lap. Car 30 left the grid before Car 27 Infringement Breach of Article B5.6.4 of the FIA F1 Regulations. Decision Reprimanded for failure to start the formation lap in the correct order. This is the driver’s first Reprimand for the Season. Reason The Stewards heard from the driver of Car 27 (Nico Hulkenberg), the driver of Car 30 (Liam Lawson), team representatives and reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video, timing, and in-car video evidence. This was an unusual incident. Car 27 was slower than could be reasonably expected, starting from its grid position for what would be a third formation lap. Car 30 started sooner than expected and should have waited longer for Car 27 to start. During the formation lap, the driver of Car 27 claimed he was unable to safely pass Car 30 to regain the correct position. However, despite the cars being in the incorrect order when crossing the SC1 line, the start was not required to be delayed, no disruption to the grid was required and there was no impact on the competition. Both cars started the race from the correct positions. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits. Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
