2026 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 22 - 24 May 2026 The Stewards From The Stewards To The Team Manager, Cadillac Formula 1 Team Document 56 Date 23 May 2026 Time 13:20 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following: No / Driver 11 - Sergio Perez Competitor Cadillac Formula 1 Team Time 12:29 Session Sprint Fact Car 11 forced Car 30 off the track prior to Turn 13 Infringement Breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2 b) of the International Sporting Code. Decision 10 second time penalty. Reason The Stewards reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video, timing, team radio and in-car video evidence. Car 30 was attempting to overtake Car 11 on the straight before Turn 13. Car 11 moved to the right of the track then moved back to the left forcing Car 30 off the track. Accordingly the base line penalty of 10 seconds is applied. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits. Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
