2026 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 22 - 24 May 2026 The Stewards From The Stewards To The Team Manager, Scuderia Ferrari HP Document 57 Date 23 May 2026 Time 13:20 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following: No / Driver 44 - Lewis Hamilton Competitor Scuderia Ferrari HP Time 12:29 Session Sprint Fact Car 44 left the track and rejoined at Turn 13 Infringement Alleged breach of Article B1.8.6 of the FIA F1 Regulations. Decision No further action. Reason The Stewards reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video, timing, team radio and in-car video evidence. Car 44 was in front of Car 81 on the approach to Turn 13 and left the track, drove through the chicane and rejoined, in front of Car 81. However this incident differs from the previous incident in this Session involving Cars 27 and 30 in that Car 81 was not in an overtaking position on Car 44. Accordingly Car 44 was not deemed by the Stewards to be “defending” its position hence was not deemed to gain a lasting advantage, consistent with the Driving Standards Guidelines. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits. Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
