2026 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 22 - 24 May 2026 The Stewards From The Stewards To The Team Manager, Cadillac Formula 1 Team Document 80 Date 23 May 2026 Time 19:21 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, summoned (document 68) and heard from the driver and team representative, have considered the following matter and determine the following: No / Driver 11 - Sergio Perez Competitor Cadillac Formula 1 Team Time 16:03 Session Qualifying Fact Car 11 failed to move to the right into turn 13 as required in the Competition Notes. Infringement Breach of Article 12.2.1.i of the International Sporting Code. Decision Driver: Reprimand (Driving). This is the driver’s 1st reprimand of the season. Reason The Stewards heard from the driver and the team representative and reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video, timing and in-car video evidence. The driver stated that he saw the car behind weaving and assumed it was on an out lap when in fact that car was overtaking another car. However, whilst this may have been a reasonable assumption, the driver still failed to comply with the Competition Notes. Considering the mitigating circumstances, the penalty of a Reprimand is imposed on the driver. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits. Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
